These Are the Gh’oul Times.

October brings out the kid in everyone.

The adults here at Score are no exception to that!

Over the past few weeks of fall’s prime time, we’ve certainly put in our fair share of hard work – BUT there has been no shortage of play!

There is something about this month that feels different than the other eleven. Maybe it’s the changing of the season, or maybe it’s something bigger than that… but there is something eerie in the air at night in October. And you want to know what? I LOVE IT.

I love the way the wind howls. I love the way the leaves rustle on the ground and the crunching sound they make when you step on them. I also love the creeped out feeling I get when I take Argos out in the dark because I feel like someone’s watching me. (That’s really weird, I know. I think we’ve established by now that I’m not very normal. I watch a lot of scary movies, so I’m always paranoid that my life is going to turn into one.)

October just has that ghostly feeling.

What’s better to maximize that feeling than to do a ghost tour?! A few weeks ago I did the walking ghost tour out on the east side of Cleveland in downtown Willoughby. Tour guides took our group through the entire downtown area telling ghost stories, and sharing others’ experiences of hauntings in that area.

If walking into haunted places isn’t your cup of tea, you can always watch something spooky. If you haven’t jumped on the bandwagon yet, tune into The Haunting of Hill House on Netflix. It’s definitely binge-worthy, so clear your weekend.

Don’t get me wrong – I also like things that aren’t scary, haunted, and twisted.

This past weekend Matt and I went to a costume party and spent some quality time with each other and our friends. We had a blast! I could go on and on about Score’s company culture and what it means to me, but sometimes I feel like a broken record. What can I tell you instead? Matt is so much more to me than just my manager. He is a great friend, role model, and a second big brother. I’m the annoying little sister that he’s never had (and probably never wanted), and his family and company are such a gift to me.

Score also hosted its first ever pumpkin carving contest on Instagram! I haven’t had the time to go out to any pumpkin patches or carve a pumpkin of my own, but it was nice to see the submissions that did come in! Shout out to Score’s friend Brandie for winning the competition! We hope you enjoy that $100 prize!

As October comes to a close, things will start ramping up for the ever busy holiday season. Next stop: Thanksgiving!

Happy Everything,
